The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative, promoting businesses to participate in enhancing corporate citizenship and providing practical engagement measures through aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Since its establishment in 2000, the UN Global Compact has become the largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world with 160 nations and 14.000 corporate & organization participants.

Established in September 2007, the Global Compact Network Korea (GCNK) has supported Korean UN Global Compact (UNGC) participants in implementing the Ten Principles of the UNGC by holding various workshops, symposiums and conferences, translating UN & UNGC related materials, implementing CSR-related projects and promoting social dialogue.
